Corporate Background

SPT provides a range of practical products, which support companies in scientific, technical and medical industries. Steve Porter formed the Company as a training and marketing consultancy in 1991 after a twenty-year involvement with medical and scientific companies.

Steve started with Abbott Laboratories as a salesman in 1979 and progressed through various sales and marketing positions to become General Manager of the Diagnostics Division in 1985. He subsequently spent four years at the European headquarters in Germany before returning to the UK to establish SPT in 1991.

The SPT philosophy is to provide tools that can be used directly by its clients to enhance their business. This is achieved by a thorough understanding of the marketplace and is maintained by developing a long-term relationship with each client.
