Application Specialist

Role Description

Application Specialists work closely with customers on training, application and trouble-shooting issues. You will focus on providing technical and customer support services for applications and making the interface between instrumentation and reagents work smoothly.

Territories are large and can even cover the entire UK. The ability to interact well with customers and colleagues is essential and is an aspect, which will feature highly in all interviews. Qualifications required are a degree or equivalent in areas such as molecular biology, immunology or medical laboratory science plus at least one years’ experience in a relevant laboratory.

3659, Haematology/Immunohaematology Specialist, Eastern England

An exciting opportunity with a market leading company in immunohaematology. You will be responsible for commissioning equipment and performing demonstrations and also be a key technical contact on all aspects of applications support on Immunohaematology products. You will work as a key member of the UK Technical Solutions Team, and will ideally, although not essentially, be based in either the Yorkshire, Humberside or Lincolnshire area with access to the M62 and M1 motorways respectively. You will also be expected to assist Account Managers as and when required. This is primarily a field-based position – so a high level of initiative and a willingness to work with a minimum supervision is important. Good verbal and written communication skills in English are essential, as you will need to create and maintain excellent working relationships with customers.
