Field Service Engineer

Role Description

These roles involve preventative maintenance and repair of instruments located in laboratories. This equipment is generally a combination of optical, electronic and electromechanical systems. Territories are large and you will be required to travel around 35,000 or more business miles. The ability to interact well with customers and colleagues is essential and is an aspect, which will feature highly in all interviews. Qualifications required are a BTEC, HNC or equivalent engineering qualification. Experienced Field Service Engineers with alternative qualifications and electronic/electromechanical experience are encouraged to apply.

This well regarded, established multinational, is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer. They have a strong customer base here in the UK, and an enviable reputation within the scientific instrumentation market. Based in North London, you will be performing both planned preventative maintenance calls and new installations as well as providing emergency breakdown provision, throughout the UK and Ireland. You will initially specialise in their particle size analysers & spectrometers, but the role will later expand to cover their broad range of instrumentation. This market leader in laboratory plastics is looking for an engineer to take on the role of Pipette Servicing Technician, to carry out batch servicing / calibration of pipettes in a wide range of laboratories to UKAS standards.
