3640, International Sales Manager - Medical Point-Of-Care equipment, UK / western Europe

We currently have three vacancies with this well established, yet rapidly expanding manufacturer of Point of Care devices, trading on an international scale. They have just announced the acquisition of a US based manufacturer, and will be integrating their portfolio in the coming months. Successful candidates will have proven international sales experience, good commercial knowledge, and be within reach of their UK Head Office. The role requires substantial international travel (25%-30%).

3624, Service Delivery Manager - IT - Birmingham

This large and multinationally respected IT services group provides IT solutions to both private and public sector organisations; delivering innovative, business critical and cost reducing functions. They are looking for a Service Delivery Manager, to act as the primary interface between Data Centre Operations and the customer, being responsible for all operational issues across the entire suite of the customers delivered services.

Main Duties

  • Be responsible for all escalations and service delivery performance issues.
  • Managing the service on a daily basis, focusing on Service Definition, KPI performance and review.
  • Monitoring, management and reporting of operational change within the environment.
  • Ensuring delivery of operational services in line with contracted obligations.
  • Responsible for ensuring service continuity during the implementation of operational change.
  • Manages operational level agreements with internal service groups.
  • Monitor and reports on Service performance against contracted SLAs.
  • Responsible for creation and implementation of Service Improvement plans in the event of service level breaches.
  • To comply with internal and external processes and procedures for ITIL.
  • Internal single point of contact for the service.
  • Management of major incidents and problems in liaison with the Problem /
  • Incident Manager in Service Desk area.
  • Chair regular service reviews with service leads from each domain, and regular review meetings with GM DC ops

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous experience, preferably with a major DC owner / operating company.
  • Customer facing experience.
  • ITIL qualifier.
  • ITSM certificate.

3613, Divisional Sales Manager - Photonics / Optoelectronics / Lasers - South

This excellent Divisional Sales Manager opportunity in Photonics and Optoelectronics is with a well established and respected supplier of photonic, optoelectronic and information display solutions. They are currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager for their Lasers & Detectors division. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role is based in the southern UK, with some international travel as required. The role calls for someone who thrives on the challenge of leading the sales team to meet / exceed their sales & profitability targets, driving divisional growth, account management, business development and supplier relationship management.

The ideal candidate will be an engineering or science graduate, with at least 5 years experience encompassing both sales and management in a related field. The role is roughly 60% technical sales manager, 40% business manager, and requires excellent negotiation skills, plus the ability to understand and sell in-house design capability, as well as an extensive product portfolio including; laser diodes / modules, fibre lasers / components, photon counting modules, custom optical assemblies, laser rangefinders, optics / aspheric lenses, hyperspectral imaging systems, transceivers and spectrometers. You'll also have responsibility for identifying and developing new product lines and liaising with marketing to support promotional campaigns.

3597, European Sales Manager - Export / Distributor Management

This exciting European Sales Manager role is with one of the world's leading manufacturers of laboratory scientific equipment. Created by internal restructuring, it involves selling scientific laboratory equipment (lab sales) across Europe. Sales are accomplished through subsidiaries, distributors and agents, the equipment covers industrial, research and hospital laboratories. This is a challenging, proactive role developing sales through a variety of channels - directly managing a subsidiary commercial team, managing and developing a Sales Specialist based on the continent who works with local distributors and agents and working directly with distributors who range from small niche players to global companies.

Suitable candidates will have:

  • a scientific background
  • relevant experience managing/supervising a sales team
  • ideally, experience with export sales markets.

You will be able to demonstrate that you have developed strategic and tactical sales plans that have been effective and preferably, have managed others to achieve their sales goals. You will have good English and possibly one or more other European languages with French and/or German being ideal. You will also be able to demonstrate that you have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to build strong relationships and be prepared to live in the Midlands.

3593, Service Manager - Home Counties

This market leader in laboratory plastics is looking for an experience Service Manager, to manage their team of Pipette Servicing Technicians. The service team carry out batch servicing / calibration of pipettes in a wide range of laboratories to UKAS standards.

The role is with an established multinational specialist in the field of liquid handling technology, particularly pipettes, various other instrumentation consumables and small-scale laboratory equipment. Their products are in daily use in laboratories throughout the world and have a proven track record of performance and reliability. They are now the largest supplier of laboratory plastics for the UK market.

Suitable candidates will have:

  • A strong technical background
  • Previous management experience
  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience of supervising a team of engineers

Previous experience of pipettes & laboratory plastics would be advantageous, but is not essential as full product training will be provided. Whilst this position does involve travel throughout the UK, it will be roughly 75% office-based on average.

3583, International Distribution Manager - Cambridgeshire

An excellent International Distribution Manager opportunity for an experienced sales / marketing professional in the Diagnostic / Life Science sector. Our clients are an established, successful and respected manufacturer of scientific instrumentation for use in laboratory analysis; both within the Clinical Diagnostics and Life Science industries.

The International Distribution Manager role focuses on establishing and managing key OEM & distribution partners worldwide. Based primarily at their head offices in Cambridgeshire, you will also have occasional travel internationally, with trips lasting 7 - 10 days.

This role involves:

  • Producing quotes / tenders / contracts
  • Sourcing new distributors
  • Forecasting
  • Gathering marketing information
  • Focus is on China / SE Asia / Russia / UK / Ireland

Suitable candidates will have:

  • Sales / marketing experience within this market, preferably selling / marketing instrumentation
  • A degree (or higher) in a suitable scientific discipline
  • Laboratory experience
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Experience of managing distributors.

Experience of Chinese markets would also be advantageous, but is not essential.
