558, IT Specialist, UK-Wide
An excellent opportunity in technical and sales support for IT, Data Management and Instrumentation, suited to an experienced IT Specialist or similar, preferrably with a hospital / medical sector background. The position is mainly home-based, with travel throughout the UK.
Key responsibilities:
- Working with customers to get the most out of the company’s products and resolving any applications issues that may arise, particularly with respect to interfacing with customer networks.
- Telephone, e-mail and on-site technical support to customers & distributors.
- Planning and delivering training necessary to support the company’s data management and IT products.
- Understanding customer workflow, data management & IT needs, and providing technical advice / support on the installation & use of the company’s instrumentation data management systems and networks, both before and after the sale.
- Keeping up to date with both company and competitor Instrumentation and IT advances.
- Demonstrating and presenting instrumentation platforms both to customers and colleagues.
Suitable candidates will have:
Essential
- BSc (or equivalent) in an IT discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years IT support experience.
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong and businesslike presentation skills.
- The ability to work on their own initiative, but also be able to get on with others and be a team-player.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems and laboratory data management and workflow.
- Knowledge of Hospital LIS/LIMS systems and data management systems relating to diagnostic instrumentation.

553, Biomedical Laboratory Automation - Birmingham
An excellent opportunity in technical and sales support for Instrumentation, suited to an experienced BioMedical Scientist, or similar. Whilst strong technical skills are required for the role, it is this Life Science background that is essential. The position is mainly office-based, in Birmingham, but with approximately 15% travel (both UK and international).
Key responsibilities:
- Working with customers to get the most out of the company’s products and resolving any applications issues that may arise.
- Telephone, e-mail and on-site technical support to customers & distributors.
- Demonstrating and presenting instrumentation platforms both to customers and colleagues.
- Planning and delivering training necessary to support the company’s instrumentation, data management and IT products.
- Evaluation and validation of kits, instrumentation and software.
- Keeping up to date with both company and competitor Instrumentation advances.
Suitable candidates will have:
- BSc (or higher) in a life science discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years clinical laboratory experience.
- Knowledge of Hospital LIS/LIMS systems and data management systems relating to diagnostic instrumentation.
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong and businesslike presentation skills.
- The ability to work on their own initiative, but also be able to get on with others and be a team-player.
- Full UK driving licence.
Sales / training / project management experience, or a foreign language would all be useful attributes, but are not essential.

546, Technical Specialist - Digital Imaging, UK-Wide

They have a worldwide reputation for reliability in digital equipment and this reputation must be maintained with the new products. That is why they are looking for a technical specialist to coordinate knowledge / sales / servicing of their digital imaging systems within the UK.
Suitable candidates will have:
- A strong technical background with Radiography / Radiology equipment
- Good knowledge of PACS & RIS
- Experience of complex electronic / electromechanical systems
- A high level of IT knowledge
- Full UK driving licence (this role is home-based)
